Unless you've been living under a rock, I'm sure you're aware of the incident involving Rihanna and Chris Brown.
One minute they were both scheduled to perform at the Grammys and the next minute we start hearing about how he assaulted her so badly that she ended up at the hospital and police are probably able to charge Chris Brown with assault with or without Rihanna's testimony.
As more and more details unfolded, something equally as sinister came along with it: the news that many teenagers believe Rihanna is to blame for the assault. WHAT?! When is domestic violence EVER justified? How could anyone be on Chris Brown's side?
Please share your thoughts on this important issue. Like the teenagers in this article, are you or is anyone you know desensitized to the brutality and unwarranted nature of domestic violence?

This is sad, since they BOTH are idols to younger children. Im not on anyone's side because I don't know the exact truth about this story. But I think Chris Brown is kind of young to be throwing his life away like this and I honestly believed he was so young and innocent. Guess not. hmmm.
Oh wow, umm...first off not that I agree with hitting women that is moraly objectionable in every way. However, if a girl had herpies, gave it to me and never said a word I would've punched her teeth out that's pretty dirty. On Chris Brown's part, any action come with a consinquince in this case should be getting beat to the ground like the little pretty boy he is. I think that both Rihanna and Chris Brown. Even though not everyone knows the true story of how and why the fight started, I believe that there is a reason for eveything. Rihanna did or said something to tick Chris Brown off to the point that he would lay hands on her. Chris Brown is wrong for hittin her. Period. But if RIhanna is foolish enough to go back to him, it is a sign of weakness on her part, because, whose to say that she won't tick him off again, or on his part, he'll hit(or worse) her. I've heard the story about him and his manager. Rihanna should break up with him just for that. As a role model for girls around the US she is showing no sign of independence or strength mentally.

Hello, I believe that Rihanna pushed Chris to his limit and that is probably why this happened. Howver, there is no excuse for what he did and there must have been at least one better way to resolve their issues between each other. So both of them are at fault in their own ways : )

(well, they know that now) I don't think either of them had the right to hti the other, no matter how bad things got. Violence is never the answer to anything.

Violence should never be excused and should be avoided at all costs. Chris and Rihanna were both at fault for ignoring the tension in their relationship that could have lead to violence. It is a two sided situation.
