It's summer; a time when those of us here at the library try our best to fill the void three months of no school has left in your life. How on earth are you going to fill your days without school? By coming to the library and participating in the Summer Reading Club! An advanced degree in rocket surgery is NOT required.
What IS required though, is for you to comment on this post! We want to hear all about what you like (and maybe what you don't like?) about Summer Reading Club. Pretend you're a paid actor giving a glowing review on a cheesy infomercial. We would love that!

Reading is a great way to leave reality and get into a new world. I love to read in my free time! I am in the process of reading the "A Child Called It" series by Dave Pelzer. It's a really emotional series, and it's all true!
I just finished reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher it was really good. I truly enjoyed it. And also today I joined the Summer Reading Club at cml
wow this is an ausome club and its so much fun to read and if you read 15 hours you and you enter in the raffle you could win a ipod shuffle a mini labtop or a private gaming party and I think thoes prizes are great
I love the book Nineteen Minutes!! I want to read the book My Sister's Keeper this summer so i can see the movie.I really like Jodi Picoult's books.
Summer Reading Club is so awesome and cool with Dave the librarian at New Albany Branch. He's so funny and makes reading enjoyable. Also, SRC has the best prizes available.

i read sometimes when im so borad i could die i will pull out a good book and read it for hours. the book i like reading is the twlight serises. thoes are the best books ever. i love reading younger kid books also because their easier and faster to read . also they make you look really smart when you read that book to a kid right after you just finished reading it.=]
Reading is a great way to expand your knowledge and/or imagination. I like to read in the sun and listen to music from the library - such a great resource. Also in the process of reading SOLD by Patricia McCormick - a touching story. I hope the rest of you have fun reading this summer!!!
I love summer reading club. I got together with some library volunteer friends of mine this Friday, and we spent a good half hour laughing over their funky stories. I tried to volunteer last year, but they were already full-up. : ( But I still love the reading. My sister and I make it a competition to see who finishes first. : ) I always win. : )
I sign up for the summer reading club every year and its a blast. Im almost done with the shadow children series and the percy jackson series and they are both amzing and full of action! THe prizes are great and reading is something really fun to do even for people who don't usually do it.

I love the summer reading program! They've changed it so much since I started, though. Some of that's good, some of it's bad. I like it when they have a book as the final prize.
i LOVE reading and i do the summer reading club every year. it is so fun! im working on finishing the twilight saga and reading Meg Cabot's books.
I am currently reading the Crispin series by Avi. These books are great. I always have to turn the page!

I love the the summer reading club soo much!! Its so cool, what better way for teens to spend their time in the car on the way to vaca. or when we are just plain bored. I dont know who came up with it but, I sure know many people really endjoy the idea of being rewarded to do somthing they love. Please keep it up you all are doing such a great job. I want to continue doing the summer reading club when I am an adult!
I love the author Gary Paulsen, is just a a good author. My favorite series that Gary Paulsen made is the Hatchet, The River, Brian's Winter, Brian's Return and Brian's Hunt. I just love the summer reading program it is so fun!
I love reading the Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. They are the best!!

I just love finding and reading new books and trying to read enough to fill out the game board. I wish it was a little bit earlier though. I read like eight books during the week-long spring break.

I've been really into classic literature lately. I have read Wuthering Heights, A Catcher In The Rye, Much Ado About Nothing, and Of Mice and Men. I've been having trouble finding more authors and books that I'd enoy reading.

I love summer reading club because it gives me a reward for my obsession of reading! I loved the new flash drive I got last year and use it all the time for school, obviously not now since its summer though. I don't like the raffles as much though like the program is doing this year because it makes it so there's a verrry verry large chance you will get nothing at all :( I series I would highly recommend is by tamora pierce the magic circle and the circle opens. Great books especially if you love well written fantasy books with magic!!
I read ALL THE TIME!!!!! The best books I have ever read are: The Lord of the Rings by : J.R.R Tolkien!!!!! EVERYBODY should read them!!!! Right now I am almost done with the chronicles of NARNIA by C.S Lewis. those are great too!! the summer readin club is great because since I already read its not that hard to fill in the sheat an I get rewarded for it!! love it!

i like the summer reading program because during rest period at the pool i lay down and read and when we leave the pool, i would have read 30-45 minutes!

I really enjoy the Gym Candy book in the teen section. I like he book because i love to watch sports and play them. So the Gym Candy book is about a football player that is into drugs and in the beginning of the book it talks about him growing up and about his dads career as a football player. I really enjoy it and if there is anyone out there that is a teen I advise them to read this book if they like football or sports. I think this book is a great book for the summer reading program.

Reading is always a great way to enter parallel worlds and find news ways to look at the world. It is important to enrich the mind and reenforce common skills such as reading. When a child doesn't read over the summer they may loose months worth of information over the summer. This won't happen to me because the summer reading program gives reading a new and fun twist.
I am currently reading the book called 20 boy summer and i am really enjoying it. I am trying to finish it by july and the summer reading club is encouraging me to do that.
i must say, i absolutely LOVE the Twilight saga. they have become my all time favorite books. i love the romance between Bella and Edward, it gives me chills. i am a bit new to the whole Twilight thing, i was introduced to twilight in April, and i am already on the second book, New Moon. the Twilight saga is what really got me reading a lot this summer, and i LOVE the books ! ! ! ! ! ! !

i love to read ...:) because it expands ur vocabulary and spelling.....but i do perfer tv and the computer its alot more exciting but reading is 2nd best...well here is how its rated 1.hanging out with friends and family 2.shopping 3. tv and the computer 4.sleeping 5.sports and other activities (finally)6. I miss school so much over the summer. The thing i miss mostly is my reading class. Books let you travel into worlds unknown. That is why i love the summer reading club, because it allows me to express the kind of love i have for reading. The best thing is that i can get rewarded for what i read.
